Why Kitties Don't Need Their Own Bed

Sorry for the delay, Anna.  Great lesson, and see you after two weeks!

Update on Jama's Scarf

Jama's scarf is now approximately 27" long!  I'm thinking that since he's about 5 years old, a 3' scarf might be enough.  Hopefully I can get the remaining 9" or so done by Friday when I'll see him next!

I have to say, I'm not a very fast knitter, but doing 5 to 10 rows every evening does add up.  Look how small it started!

Laundry Day

Today Anna, Emma and I were talking about how Chani and Lozhka help me with chores, so I'm posting a photo series on what a typical laundry day is like over at my place.  See how helpful they are?  They examine the clean clothes and make sure I didn't leave anything in the basket.  Where would I be without them?

Good luck with your practicing, Anna!  If you can do 10 minutes each day of Silent Night, focusing most of your time on the hard parts, I think you'll be in great shape for Saturday!

Progress on Jama's Scarf

I had to take a week off because my wrists were bothering me, but I'm back on the knitting now and feeling fine!

I'm hoping to finish it by a week from Friday.  We'll see how that goes.  :)

Kitty Pictures for Anna and Emma

At Anna's lesson today, she requested a couple more pictures of my kitties.  Since she worked so very hard on that last line of Joy to the World with me, I decided to post more than a couple!

Also, Jared's Hat!

I knitted Jared a hat!  The last hat I tried to knit mysteriously turned into a mobius strip.  This hat, however, was fully three-dimensional so I consider it to be a triumph.  :)

Check out the elegantly simple pattern on Stephanie's blog.  And thanks to the nice lady at Borealis Yarn for helping me pick out my double-points.  Bamboo rocks.

I've decided this would be a great place to post about craft stuff.

I've been doing a decent amount of crocheting and knitting lately, and I was thinking that Posterous might be a great place to share it.

I do use Ravelry, perhaps obsessively, to document my projects, but people have to log in to see my work.  Also, many of the projects I make are gifts, so I don't really want my friends and family logging into see what I'm up to.

So I'm including a few pictures of projects I've finished!

Picture Clothesline

I finally got tired of the huge empty wall in my apartment, and so thanks to a post by Lifehacker I tried out a way to hang up a whole bunch of pictures without using my weight in Command Adhesive or drilling 6,000 holes in my rented wall.

So here are some pictures of the process, from the test photos to the kitties helping me hang the wire to the finished product.  My initial thought was that I didn't want the "clothesline" to sag in the middle, but I think I like that better than the awkward quasi-drape thing it does now with the additional hooks.  The nice thing about it is it's a pretty flexible "finished product."

Also, it was way fun!
